USBIA Brain Injury Alliance History and Partnership.
In 2012, BIAC became a founding member of the United States Brain Injury Alliance (USBIA), a national organization dedicated to improving lives through brain injury awareness, prevention, advocacy, support, research, and community engagement. On September 10, 2024, the USBIA Board of Trustees unanimously voted to dissolve the organization and reunite with the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) to better serve the brain injury community. After careful planning, most USBIA affiliates will begin transitioning to BIAA. BIAC hopes to re-join BIAA in the future. We are proud of our 14 years with USBIA and look forward to continuing our mission with a unified national voice for the brain injury community.
